Update

Well, a lot has gone on since I blogged last. Don't really know who has an interest in reading about our boring lives so I don't get motivated to blog much!

We have been going through custody hearings for my 2 nieces, Victoria & Haley, who have been living with us since Thanksgiving. Basically neither parent wants to fight us for custody but neither want to pay child support. We have been issued child support from the court from both parents and have yet to receive anything. School clothes/supplies are a struggle this year.

Unfortunately, Mike is still not working and it is stressing him out. He defines himself as the provider and being unable to provide is making him agitated. He is a good guy and I have faith that something will happen for him. He has been so great to have around! He spoils me rotten. He cooks a lot, does all the grocery shopping, and he runs the kids around. Maybe I should go to work and let him do this. LOL! Seriously, if I could make as much money as him, I would.

Kirstie will not be returning to UNT this year. She did not like it and she missed drill team so much! She wants to be a high school drill team director, so being on a team will only help her in that arena. (Who told her that a year ago? Hmmmm) So, she is transferring to TVCC to be a cardette. She went to freshman camp last week and sent me a text saying "I really, really love this team"! I am so glad!

Kaylie decided to leave drill this year and be a Varsity Cheerleader for her senior year. She is having fun with that. Yes she misses drill but she is having more time for herself her senior year! Cheer is not as demanding as drill. She is working at Old Navy. And, most importantly she is getting ready to try out for DCC (Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader) in May! She really wants that. She has been working out and doing great!

Kourtney has started drill camp this week. She made the drill team at the new North Forney High School and she is actually loving it! She is having a good time. I am so happy for her. You never know with Kourtney and I am so pleasantly surprised that she is having such a great time. She starts high school this year! My baby! I can't believe it and it hits me in the gut every time I think about it! I miss them being little so very much!

Victoria has started band this week. 8:00 am to 5:00 pm everyday for the next 3 weeks before school starts! Ouch! Gotta be hard, but she can do it! She loves band, music and her friends so it is great for her!

Haley started pee wee drill team. It is the last year that she is eligible. She needed to do it so that she could have some experience before trying out for high school drill. She is busting her butt and has improved dramatically. She is doing good, especially when you consider that she has NEVER done anything like this. She didn't even know about counting the music or anything! Crazy! She loves it and that makes it great!

That is kind of in a nutshell what we are all up to! Definitely busy with 5 teenage girls around.
